- What does the "Remember Me" checkbox mean on the login page?
If you check this checkbox, you will never have to input your login information again. When adding subsquent online bookmarks on the same computer/browser, you will automatically be logged in unless you either clear your cookies or click on the logout link.
If you uncheck this checkbox, you will be logged in only for that current session. If you close your browser, you will be logged out. If you are on a public computer (ie. Library computer, Friend's computer), you should uncheck this checkbox.
- What is a "Username"?
The username is used only for creating a user friendly bookmarks url. For example, if you choose "joesmith" as your username, the url to view all of your bookmarks will be www.rogerchew.com/bookmarks/joesmith
- What is the difference between a public vs private bookmark?
Public bookmarks will appear on your public page and can be viewable to anyone if you send them the url.
Private bookmarks will not appear on your public page and can only be viewed when you are logged in. They will have a key (
) icon next to them.
- How do I modify/delete/add bookmarks?
You can perform these actions only by logging in. After you login, click on the "edit" link on the right hand side.
- What are the minimum requirements?
You must have an internet connection and a browser that accepts cookies and is javascript enabled.
- When I use the "Add Online Bookmark" in my favorites, nothing happens.
You might be using a popup blocker. Add rogerchew.com to your pop up safe list or disable your popup blocker.
- How do I add a bookmark?
- Internet Explorer Users
- Right click on this button
and select the "Add to Favorites" link. You may see a warning dialog -- click "OK" to continue.
- To share the site you're currently viewing in your browser, just click the "Add Online Bookmark " button from within your Favorites menu.
- Firefox Users
- First make sure that the "Bookmarks Toolbar" toolbar is visible in your browser. Click "View" > "Toolbars" and verify that the "Bookmarks Toolbar" item is checked.
- Drag this button
to the "Bookmarks Toolbar" toolbar.
- A Add Online Bookmark button should now appear in your "Bookmarks Toolbar". To share the page you're currently viewing in your browser, just click the button.
- Mozilla/Netscape Users
- First make sure that the "Personal Toolbar" toolbar is visible in your browser. Click "View" > "Show/Hide" and verify that the "Personal Toolbar" item is checked.
